Seeing Through

Rare historic glass plates

A treasure trove of photographs from the early days can be found in the KKL-JNF (Keren KayemethLeIsrael-Jewish National Fund)Photography Archives, which also contains a selection of rare and fascinating glass plates. The exhibit shows dozens of works by the finest photographers between 1921 and 1960, among them Schweig, Kluger, Ben Dov, Malavsky, Feigin and others, some in light boxes which restore the radiance of qualitative and age-old photography.
