For over a year Ron photographed boarding schools in which children and youth at risk live. The photographs present the deep gap that exists between a home and an institution, and expose private corners vs. public spaces. The children who live in the boarding schools are not seen in Ron’s photographs, but nevertheless they exceedingly present, in both the signs of their individual expression and in the personal attention which the members of the staff try to grant them.
