The video exhibition One Shot is a trilogy of video works exploring the relationship between the human body and its environment. The setting for the three video works is the Mitzpe Ramon area – a place of natural transformation, where the body undergoes change, becoming absorbed into the desert landscape, moving between presence and absence. Through the use of cacti that have been altered by nature, the work offers a new perspective on body-nature-time relations as a space of action, a tool for coping with personal or collective pain, and a channel for recovery and healing. The works were created over the past year and will be shown to the public for the first time.

Fatma Shanan is an Israeli Druze artist, born and living in Jolis. She works in painting and video-performance.
