Why
“This is a ceiling work that causes viewers to look upwards to the sky. We discover a reflection of ourselves and the environment in a previously unseen manner – the gold surface appears cosmic, yet we are in the here and now.
This process of observation is rather strange – firstly, our head is tilted upwards, and secondly, we see a reflection of ourselves and our environment, yet have difficulty identifying what we see due to the the mirror effect of the curved gilded surface of the suspended porcelain elements.
We become strangers to ourselves, and to this mode of viewing, until we adapt and accept it.”
